“Bang Bang Bar - Brixton” or “how to make money out of gun crime”

Written on October 19, 2006

Two kids nearly died in Brixton the other week, the victims of gun crime. A couple of weeks previous there was a simular incenent outside The Fridge. These were both tragic events that, to their credit, the police, council and most elements of the wider community are tackling head on (several hundred people from all backgrounds turned up for a 2 weekday meetings to here what was happening and have thier say on how to deal with it).

Good news then that the soon to open Brixton Bang Bang Bar is not above trying to cash in media interest it has generated. Due to open next week the bar has been selling its self on the slogan “would YOU come to Brixton for a double shot?”.

I think the name for the bar is great. Fantastic marketting ploy.
If spotty little nihalistic kids want to kill each other, so be it. Same for all the other low life scum littering the streets of Brixton at the moment.
Fuck middle class interlectual liberalism. Get real mate. Gun ncrime is hear to stay, so if someone wants to make a bit of money cashing in, I think that’s fine
